Lenses on Learning
Improve teaching and learning in mathematics system-wide
Lenses on Learning is designed for K-8 school administrators interested in improving mathematics teaching and learning.
- Support teachers' improvements in math instruction
- Understand the current research based mathematics being taught across the country
- Explain research based mathematics to parents
- Make class observations more purposeful for teachers and administrators
- Help teachers and students move from learning through drill and practice to understanding math through critical thinking and problem solving
Lenses on Learning is taught through collaborative work and dialogue with other school leaders facing the same issues. You’ll solve math problems, view videos of classroom instruction, and discuss articles by accomplished math educators. And you’ll learn how to guide teachers in improving student understanding and performance in mathematics.
