Solar Energy

Learn about the qualities of solar energy and how nature harvests
it.  Investigate solar energy technologies for generating light and
electricity.  Consider the quantity and quality of light and its impact
on natural and man-made systems.  Hear from faculty experts on solar
energy who will provide an overview of their research.  Experiment with
materials that students can use to do sustained inquiry on solar
energy.  Become eligible to borrow classroom kits of equipment and take
the curriculum back to your classroom.

This workshop is presented by a faculty expert from the Photosynthetic Antenna Research Center (PARC), teacher Tracie Cain, and science educator Rachel Ruggirello, Washington University Institute for School Partnership.

Free; non-credit (may count towards PD hours)

Includes continental breakfast, parking, teacher's guide, and equipment loan access
